CHELA AND LUCHA?
CHELA Y LUCHA is a brand from Aguascalientes, born from the skills, tastes, studies, and affinities between two sisters!
We are dedicated to the design, elaboration, and commercialization of accessories made from leather waste from the mass industry.
We aim for our pieces to reflect our own identity, for their production process to adhere to the "slow fashion" ideology in terms of creating unique or limited-edition pieces, to be upcycled, functional, and one of the most important aspects for us within our production process is the reuse of our own scraps, in order to become a sustainable company and try to generate as little waste as possible.

Hiiiii, I'm a fashion design graduate and I'm 27 years old. I consider myself a very, very restless person, I like to design and not so much to theorize. I firmly believe in the naturalness of plans and flowing with them in life.
I feel fortunate to have a family of 5 designers who constantly accompany the creative processes of ChelayLucha: my dad, who always saves the day at the last minute with his sketches in seconds; my mom, the ultimate authority in quality control, with a thousand improvement tips, encouraging and showing us off; our brother, designing and proposing new furniture and products; Lucha, in the compositions of each ChelayLucha and as a partner; and me, who goes on the collection trips, always excited to give life to the scraps that few are interested in.
I'm the one behind every supplier, new platform, contact with collaborators, buuuuut what makes me happiest and brings a smile to my face is arriving at one of the small scrap collection points and being greeted by our friend with pieces he found specifically for us, chatting with him, and discovering more places like these.
And well, basically that's the person I've become in recent years. ChelayLucha has changed my lifestyle, my way of thinking, it has taken away my fears and filled me with courage. I had never valued sleeping, celebrating, and being with my loved ones so much. But it has also taught me what a GEM design is and what can be achieved if you truly love it.

Hiiii, I'm a woman from Aguascalientes, I'm 23 years old, I'm a Virgo, I'm vegetarian anddddddd... That's right, I'm Lucha and my two working hands are part of CHELA Y LUCHA.
I was born with big eyes, and I have a theory that's why I grew up observing my surroundings a lot, my family, their activities, hobbies, and especially creating and drawing. I guess that's where my love for everything that allows me to make what's in my head a reality was born; and that's thanks to my hands, my favorite companions, they are in charge of transforming ideas and making them tangible.
I discovered photography at 14 and since then I haven't stopped portraying my surroundings, the everyday life of spaces, situations, and beings. Photography is like my diary, it allows me to remember my days (it has truly become my memory) and it has also allowed me to experiment artistically.
I graduated with a degree in architecture, however, I have a lot of love for industrial design and on some occasions, I have created some pieces with the help of my dad, who always encourages us to create.
And well, I can also tell you that being part of Chela y Lucha has been one of the most beautiful things that has happened to me. It has allowed me to question many things, from my situation with vegetarianism, consumerism, and ecological problems to design issues and the importance of functionality, recycling, etc. On the other hand, Chela y Lucha makes me constantly creative (which is what I like the most), it makes me reinvent myself and get out of my comfort zone.
*Keep asking for bags with lots of color, those are my favorites, I love making collages with many combinations and shapes.
